Film database file created in the Avid Log Exchange (ALE) format; saved in a tab-delimited ASCII text format and contains a shot log of film, video, and audio data; used in the process of transferring film data between systems. ALE files store both the schema (database columns) and the contents of a film database. Example fields may include camera roll identifiers, video track names, shooting dates, start and stop times, soundrolls, and descriptions.
