Verification file used by the Batch Standards Checker component of AutoCAD; contains references to a list of .DWS files, which store drawing standards that must be conformed to; also contains configuration information for reporting the results. CHX files are used for auditing drawings and reporting any violations in an HTML report. They are particularly useful in situations where multiple parties have modification privileges for a drawing file. If one party creates modifications that do not comply with the defined standards, then the violations can be identified and fixed.
The CHX format has been developed in 2007 for ZX-Editor Second Edition as an enhanced font format which can store coloured letters in different sizes.
