StepMania is a rhythm and dance game featuring 3D graphics, a step editor, and a dance pad support. It has been originally designed as a simulator of the Dance, Dance Revolution series and since then has progressed into an extensible rhythm game engine with the ability to support a wide range of rhythm-based game types.The CRS file extension defines all the courses used in the StepMania program. There are three modes that can be used in tandem with these files. These include:?the Non-stop mode;?the Oni or Challenge mode;?and the Endless mode.The Non-stop mode is utilized when both "no number of LIVES tag" and "number of REPEAT is OFF" appear. As for the Oni mode, it is used when "number of LIVES tag" and "number of REPEAT is OFF" appear.
