Stereoscopic image captured by digital cameras such as the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D series; contains two .JPG images side-by-side, which were captured by the two lenses on the digital camera; allows the two 2D images to be viewed as if they were a single 3D image. The MPO format was developed by The Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA). The specification actually allows for any number of .JPG files to be saved in an MPO file, but the most common use is for stereoscopic images. NOTE: Early digital cameras to support the Multi Picture Object images include the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D series cameras. Another popular stereoscopic image format is the Stereo JPEG Image format, which uses the .JPS file extension.
