What is this psx file?

Save file created by Sony PlayStation video games; contains game progress information that was stored on a PlayStation memory card; can be extracted from the memory card using some game modification utilities. Some programs can modify the contents of PSX files and reload them back onto PlayStation memory cards. Users sometimes use this process to add cheats to a game. However, this process is unofficial and is not supported by Sony.
