Audio loops file used by digital audio workstation (DAW) applications; contains audio loop samples stored in Propellerhead's proprietary REX2 format; supports both mono and stereo, whereas the .REX format only supports mono. RX2 files store "slices," which split the audio into segments that can be matched to specific tempos. NOTE: REX stands for "ReCycle Export," which is named after Propellerhead's ReCycle software.
