File or archive of files encrypted by Scrambls, a program and online service that allows users to protect personal files and limit their distribution; can store any file on the user's system, but can only be decrypted and viewed by the user with the appropriate key, or another user for which the user who encrypted the file grants access. SCB files can be shared or posted anywhere on the Web, but only users with permission can view the files. The Scrambls desktop software, called Scrambls for files, can be be used for viewing the files on the desktop computer. After installing Scrambls for files, you can right-click any file, choose "Scramble," and then choose either "Only Me," "Everyone," or "Specify Group..." depending on the access permissions you desire to grant. Similarly, to decrypt an SCB file, right-click it and choose "Descramble."
