Component file used by Adobe Captivate, a multimedia publishing application often used to create eLearning products; contains a pluggable module, or "widget," that can be inserted into Captivate projects (.CPTX files); used for creating reusable components, such as pie charts or input forms. Widgets can be one of three types: Static: Non-interactive and meant to display information. Interactive: Allows user input and changes appearance based on the input. Question: Can be used for asking multiple choice or free-form questions for a quiz. NOTE: WDGT files are written in ActionScript and require a copy of Adobe Flash to be installed on the computer.
